What I did like: well-described setting in beautiful Santa Fe and environs, complicated relationship between white Kerney and his Indian son both in law enforcement , well-paced tension and suspense, promises of better things to come in Kerney's life, believable explanation of the perpetrator's motives and background.

It is an enjoyable series set in New Mexico, one of my favorite places.
